Washington Medicaid exclusion list
Washington publishes its Medicaid exclusion list as an Excel workbook; the agency updates it monthly. RosterProof loads it every week into the same schema as the federal OIG LEIE, SAM.gov and 41 other state lists, resolves names to NPIs where the national registry confirms them, and keeps every change. What the federal gap means in Washington
Of the 235 active records on the Washington list, 66.4% do not appear on the federal OIG LEIE. A program that screens only the federal lists, as 42 CFR 455.436 requires at minimum, never sees those providers. Under ACA §6501, an exclusion or for-cause termination in one state's Medicaid program is grounds for termination in every other state, so a Washington exclusion matters to any payer or employer in any state. The earliest exclusion start date the agency publishes is 2003-12-31 and the most recent is 2025-11-06. 40 of the records belong to providers that at least one other jurisdiction has also excluded.
