Louisiana Medicaid exclusion list
Louisiana publishes its Medicaid exclusion list as a CSV file; the agency updates it daily. What the federal gap means in Louisiana
Of the 5,594 active records on the Louisiana list, 49.4% do not appear on the federal OIG LEIE. A program that screens only the federal lists, as 42 CFR 455.436 requires at minimum, never sees those providers. Under ACA §6501, an exclusion or for-cause termination in one state's Medicaid program is grounds for termination in every other state, so a Louisiana exclusion matters to any payer or employer in any state. The earliest exclusion start date the agency publishes is 1975-02-24 and the most recent is 2026-10-25. 231 of the records belong to providers that at least one other jurisdiction has also excluded.
